On The Way

With landscapes as far as the eye can see and plains of greenish brown tones, the Alentagus route is an excellent option for those looking for calm and serenity.

The people who inhabit it are called Alentejanos, known for their relaxation and calmness. All this territory from the Alto Alentejo, passing through the center and ending up in the Baixo Alentejo, has many towns, cities and villages that are part of the vast cultural landscape. Starting with Marvão, land of stories that go back to the Roman occupation; Elvas land of pirates and smugglers; Évora for its cultural impact; the immensity of the Alqueva dam; without forgetting to visit the natural park of the Guadiana valley. These are all undoubtedly mandatory stops.

We remind you that Alentejo gastronomy is unique in the world and for wine lovers, we remind you that, it is the largest growing area in Portugal and we have been making wine since the 1st century.

Hot air balloon rides, skydiving, climbing, via ferratas, hiking and water sports are some of the radical experiences spread out for you to choose from in this vast land of more than 30,000km 2².

Along the route, several places to stay are presented for those who like more remote places, and far from civilization, or even in the campsites close to each location.
